For many years, I have offered classes and workshops in oil painting, with an occasional student using acrylic. New sessions begin in October, January, and April.
The focus in all my classes is on the gradual development of each artist’s individual voice. The emergence of this personal voice involves exposing students to a multitude of approaches, a variety of fundamental techniques and concepts, and a strong historical perspective. Many students take classes on an ongoing basis, resulting in the development of a real community of artists, familiar with each other’s work, and mutually participating in the process and progress of each person’s journey. The atmosphere of the classes is supportive and lively, but demanding, and classes are intended for people interested in a serious immersion in their art.
